Coupon Train

Saving To Serve
Coupon Train
A coupon train consists of a train conductor and up to 10 passengers on the train. The conductor mails an envelope with 50 coupons to the first passenger. Upon arrival the passenger can take as many coupons as they wish out of the envelope, but they must replace the number of coupons that they remove. Then passenger #1 mails to #2 and the process continues until it returns back to the conductor. 2 Stamps will usually cover postage, but you can take to post office to make sure. A list of names and addresses are enclosed in the envelope.

Rules for the Coupon Train

1.      You must be a follower of Saving to Serve Blog to participate. (This is Angie’s blog).
2,  No expired coupons- all coupon expiration dates must be at least a month or longer.
    3.  Only manufacturer or store coupons. (tearpads, blinkies and newspaper coupons are ok… but no peelies)
 4.  The train must be on track within 3 days of its arrival. After you receive and place the train back on the track (in the mail) you must post on the following blog: http://savingtoserve.blogspot.com/    under the Coupon train post. Communication is the key to a successful train.
  5. This can be a great way to get additional coupons from other regions to where you live and share coupons for products you don’t use in exchange for coupons that you can use.  Of course if you don’t follow the rules then you won’t be allowed to participate.  It can be a lot of fun though for those who want to get aboard!
6.  You must replace each coupon that you remove. There must always be at least 50 coupons in the envelope at a time. Not too many more as it will affect the amount of postage. (2 stamps should cover the cost)
If you are interested in joining the coupon train please send Angie a message to servinghaiti@yahoo.com with your name and address. Please put Coupon Train in the subject box.
         7. Comment on this post and also include a list of your "most wanted coupons."
